It's a game about telling superhero stories, except the more you play the more the superhero accumulates backstory, and the more backstory they have the more constrained you are in what elements you add to later stories.

Probably the cleverest bit is that because every hero is their own self-contained deck, you can freely switch between solo and group play. Establish a hero in isolation then join forces with your friends! Or play a semi-regular group game but fill in your own continuity in the downtime! Or play entirely solo, or entirely with others!

And if you don't like writing all over playing cards (or index cards) I've also written a macro-enabled Excel sheet which does all the deck management -- all you need to do is the writing part!
