Behold! I have made a new game!

Emergent is a short (four pages) set of rules for playing through TTRPG modules solo and hopefully seeing them in a new light. Take on the persona of an immortal ruler of Faerie, telling the story of how they conquered [INSERT MODULE NAME HERE] to entertain their peers -- who will start asking you awkward questions if things get boring -- and see how far you can get before they decide they'd rather hear something else.

It occupies a similar sort of conceptual space to David Schirduan's Overpowered; I wasn't directly inspired by Overpowered but as soon as the idea for Emergent crystallised in my head I realised the arena I was playing in. However, where Overpowered is a fast-paced game of numbers and dice, Emergent is a more meditative exercise in discovering things about the module you're playing. It's kind of an ideal situation where if you like one you'll probably like the other, but they do very different things.
